Getting A New Saddle

A few weeks ago, I bought a new saddle from Butet Saumur so I thought I should share some tips about getting one of the most important things that your horse needs.

Getting a saddle is an expensive but necessary investment, specially for horse owners. However, if you take good care of it, a saddle can last a lifetime.

There is a huge variety of saddles available on the market but you must get one that fits both you and your horse properly. Never choose a saddle just because it looks pretty, it may look good but your horse's health and your comfort are first. Also, you shouldn't forget your budget, there are many great second hand saddles - I bought mine from a friend who wanted to sell her saddle.

Make sure you try it. See if it fits your horse, and look for the saddle tree, it should be on perfect condition. Also check the leather and don't forget the girth straps.

Then you need to see if the saddle isn't bad for your position, many saddles make you look terrible when you're riding. I used to own one that wouldn't let me put my leg on the right place, it was horrible. If possible, test the saddle, that's the best thing.

After all these steps you should be able to find your perfect saddle but if you can't find one, consider custom made saddles!

I also got the saddle cleaning kit from Bruno Delgrange, I couldn't find these from Butet in Portugal though. Delgrange is a great saddler so I chose their products to clean my new baby. <3

What's your favorite saddle cleaner? Share your tips with me! :)
Happy Halloween!

Veredus Boots Color Edition

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a great week! I have just found something that I seriously need to share with you. Everybody knows that I adore Veredus horse boots, they have been on my wishlist for years (I am not joking, I talk about them here since I began Equestrian Trend) and the brand has just launched a new edition, the color edition.

It offers us the opportunity to get our favorite boots - Carbon Gel Vento, Olympus and Young Jump Vento - in four different colors. We can also get a saddle pad and a fly hat that match the boots, #fancy. :)

Have a nice Wednesday and remember to show me your colored Veredus boots if you get them, I would love to see how they look on your horses!

Ride Against Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide movement that was created to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
To support this cause, during this month Equestrian Stockholm is giving all their costumers 20% off on their rose items and 10% of their income will be donated to "Ride Against Cancer".

The collection is adorable - I think the set would look so precious on Gali! Have a nice weekend!

Gina Tricot Equestrian Collection

Before Saturday I didn't know Gina Tricot, a Swedish fashion chain. They have so many cute clothes, it's a nightmare! Many of their products are now on my wishlist but the reason why I am talking about the brand is because they have an equestrian collection and the prices of the items are incredibly reasonable - is that even a reality? Equestrian clothes are usually crazy expensive, specially for people like me who don't work yet.

These are my favorite items from the collection. They look so classic and comfortable...but I think I wouldn't wear them only at the barn!

Well, if you like these as much as I do, you can see all the items from the equestrian collection here.
