Noble Outfitters Balance Riding Tight

A rider can never say no to a new pair of breeches. At the beginning of this season I thought I had to many pairs and that I would have to stop getting more but then I moved to another barn, got a new horse and started riding 3/4 times a week so I soon realized that I needed new breeches instead. I had the opportunity to get the Balance Riding Tights by Noble Outfitters and today I am going to talk about them.

Color: Black

I was a little reluctant about wearing riding tights because I knew they weren't regular breeches and riders don't wear them in Portugal but I decided to give them a chance.

The first thing I noticed was that their color on the website is really different from reality, as you can see - that is not a problem for me, I really needed a black pair of breeches.

As usual I chose the smallest size available (XS) and couldn't be happier about that choice. The tights fit really well, are super comfortable through the legs and although I thought that it would be awkward to wear "breeches" without a front zip, it ended up being one of my favorite things.

Wet sneakers...bah, I hate rain!

The front pocket is such a cool feature, it is both discrete and functional. It won't look good if you put your phone there but it is great to keep some money or something small!
I can wear the Balance Riding tights when I am not at the barn, they work on a casual outfit like the one I am wearing.

The bottom line is: I recommend these. Comfortable, innovative, stylish and worth the value - a great Christmas suggestion as well.
I would like to thank my super friend Joana for taking these awesome pics! We barely had light and she still managed to do an amazing work! Make sure you visit her page: EagleEyes.

Review: HorseLifestyle.Tv

About a month ago, I wrote here about HorseLifestyle.Tv, an online streaming service for horse enthusiasts After that, their team gave me the opportunity to try their website.

I said it was the Neflix for equestrians and it is! For 12,95€ per month you have access to unlimited films and series, unlimited books and magazines and you can watch on your PC, laptop, phone and tablet.

If you follow me on Instagram (@equestriantrendblog), you may know that last Sunday I spent my night enjoying Horse Lifestyle. I watched «George Morris Masterclass» and «Road to Normandy», two very interesting series for equestrians, don't you agree? It was very easy to login and to select the series/episodes. I love the «continue watching» feature that gets us back to the moment where we stoped the video.

HorseLifestyle.Tv isn't only for equestrians who want to relax though - the bookcase features study books such as «Anatomy of the Horse» and «Diagnostic Cytology and Hematology of the Horse»!

Now that I have some hours of free time, I will continue my series marathon and I hope the classic horse movies get soon to HorseLifestyle.Tv! :)

How To Wash Your Ogilvy Memory Foam Half Pad

People ask me a lot how do I wash my Ogilvy half pad so I have (finally!) decided to write a "how-to" post. It is really easy to wash, I don't even use the washing machine but let me show you how I do it:

1. Remove the memory foam inserts: You only need to wash the cover of the half pad. Open the velcro and take the inserts out.

2. Use a stain remover: Only if necessary, of course! Make sure you use a stain remover that is safe on colors and let it sit for about 5 minutes.

3. Fill a basin with warm water and add an appropriate amount of hand-wash detergent. Make sure it is thoroughly dissolved.

4. Add the cover to the water. Rub the fabric gently against itself and agitate in the water. Pay attention to any stained or marked areas.

5. Rinse the cover in fresh water to get rid of any traces of detergent.

6. Instead of using the dryer, let it air dry.

I will show you the final result later, my half pad is drying at this moment. :) Have a nice week!

The Class Of HV Polo

Sometimes brands surprise us in a positive way and they surprise us a lot. That happened to me with HV Polo.
I don't own anything from the brand because until now I wasn't their perfect customer but something has changed. I have been following their Instagram account for a while and it was awesome when I started seeing their photos of this Winter's collection. Their style has changed. It is better than ever.
Today I decided to check their catalog, wow! Preppy clothes to wear all the time, at the barn or not. I think I will start my Christmas wish list right now!

The Most Recent Equestrian Trend

There is a new trend for us equestrians. I am talking about ponchos, yes, ponchos! At first I didn't understood how that would work for riders but then I started thinking that ponchos are, in fact, a great addiction to a rider's wardrobe. You won't wear them while you are riding, at least, I wouldn't but they seem awesome to wear with your riding clothes when you aren't riding. It's a stylish, comfortable and practical piece.
Some brands have included ponchos in their Fall/Winter collections:

MIASUKI - Official Partner Of Longines Masters of Paris 2015

MIASUKI is a new clothing brand for equestrians. Their website is amazingly well designed and the photos are unique. The Italian brand defines their pieces as exquisite, timeless and feminine, yet functional and comfortable. I can't wait to see the entire collection and the online store!

The brand has chosen the Longines Masters of Paris at Salon du Cheval to its official launch. The event will take place from December 3rd to 6th and MIASUKI will present the Opening Gala of the Longines Masters of Paris with a "show in show" performance. All the details about the show will be kept unders wraps until the event itself.

If you go to Salon du Cheval, make sure you visit MIASUKI's boutique, located next to the warm up arena in the hall 5B and don't miss their show!

Riding In The City: Public Transports

When I moved to Oporto, I also moved to a new barn. It is located in the heart of the city so I have to catch the bus everytime I want to go there.
The first time I wore riding clothes on the bus I felt that everybody was starring at me and that was really awkward but now I am getting used to it and I don't mind anymore!
I don't have my own tack room yet, that means I have to take my boots and helmet with me everytime. Besides my boot bag, I also have to take my purse so it gets really uncomfortable to take all these things with me.
I've been thinking in ways to make my life easier. I want to get a backpack where I can take my helmet, my wallet or some clothes, if necessary. I already have one from Noble Outfitters that is great for shows but it is too big to take on the bus - I need something more practical. Maybe I will sell it and then I will get a smaller one, probably the Ardley backpack from Kingsland.

Another thing I would love to get is a new boot bag, mine is also way, way, way bigger than what I need. There are many boot bags available but I will choose one that is great in terms of quality/price. I like this one from Equi-Thème:

I can't to much about the riding clothes but I love wearing them! Do you have any tips on this subject? I would love to know what is your opinion!

Kingsland Collection Update (Or An Easy Way To Spend All Your Money!)

Can someone, please, explain me why do I still go Kingsland's website when they launch new collections? I can't resist to some of the new items from the Fall/Winter 2016 collection update...What a surprise, right??

This pattern and colors remind me of Christmas, which I love, so you can tell how much these have touched my heart!
I know it's still October but maybe, just maybe, I will start my X-Mas wish list right now!

Bre Avery Equestrian Lifestyle Design

Bre Avery, an equestrian lifestyle design company that just launched a line of American made home products, is one of the latest equestrian companies that I have found. The brand was founded by Bre, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology that has worked for Victoria's Secret, Henri Bendel and Pessoa.
This line of home products is totally my style. There isn't any product on their website that I don't like, no joke! You know I love the preppy style!

Have a nice Wednesday!

Horses & School: It Is Possible!

Hey guys! It is my second day in college - I'm now an Economy student at the University of Oporto - and it's raining a lot (I don´t know how this is possible) so it is the perfect moment to write a new post.
After two months without having my own horse, I am starting to feel that it is the time to get a new one. I will wait a few more time until I have everything organized at my new home and then I will start looking for a new horse, barn & trainer. Until that, I will keep riding at my barn in Coimbra with my trainer.
Today's post is about balancing school and horses because that is not easy! You might have some issues on balancing your time between school and riding so today I will give you some tips:

 1. Get a planner

Horse Agenda

You need to plan your time so that you can do everything you need and as you should. Choose the right agenda, there are so many options these days - you can even get one that has horses on it like the ones in the image above!

2. Get everything done before you go to the barn

In our hearts, horses are always first but we need to think correctly: get everything done before you go to the barn because you will always spend more time there than you think. You'll get home tired and without strength to spend hours studying.

3. Never say you don't need school because you are going to be a professional rider

We can't predict the future so school is very, very, very important! Even if you become a professional rider, trainer, etc., what you learn at school will help you at some point and it can also give you some better opportunities.

4. Make sure you eat & sleep enough

You won't be able to ride if you aren't healthy, take care of yourself :)

I hope these tips help you on your daily life as an equestrian and student! How do you guys balance horses and school? Share your tips with us on the comment box!
